Respiratory Therapist - Level IV NICU - 12-Hour Nights

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Three 12-hour shifts, primarily during the night. Weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

Join our dedicated team as a Respiratory Therapist in a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). You will provide critical respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients, working collaboratively in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory treatments using various equipment including Hamilton and Servo ventilators, IPV, cough assist, and more.
• Conduct intrahospital transport and airway management for patients.
• Perform all aspects of respiratory care including aerogen therapy and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC).
• Assist with intubations as needed, supporting the medical team in critical situations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PICU or Level III NICU.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is acceptable, but RRT is preferred.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
