Registered Nurse - Nights, Med/Tele

Schedule

This is a 16-week contract position with night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. Options for 36 and 48 hours are available each week, with at least one weekend shift required per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work on the West 6 Med/Tele unit, which consists of 40 beds. The role necessitates flexibility according to the facility’s schedule, with responsibilities that may require floating to other units and fulfilling charge nurse duties when needed. Highland will provide training if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active New York RN license.
• AHA BLS certification.
