Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide full-scope nursing care in a rural facility's Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit. The RN will be responsible for managing high-risk labor, supporting fetal monitoring, and ensuring safe delivery and immediate postpartum care for mothers and their newborns.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in Labor & Delivery, Newborn Nursery, and Postpartum/Couplet Care in an 8-bed unit.
• Competently manage intrapartum care, including induction and augmentation of labor.
• Monitor high-risk patients and interpret fetal heart rate patterns.
• Circumvent C-sections as needed and participate in neonatal resuscitation.
• Conduct routine newborn assessments and provide postpartum care for stable mothers and infants.
• Adapt to varying patient assignments based on census and staffing needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN Licensure.
• BLS, ACLS (AHA or ARC) certification.
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring and STABLE certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in LDRP nursing.
• Ability to circulate C-sections and knowledge of high-risk labor management.
• Experience in postpartum/couplet care.
