Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts, consisting of 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. There is a holiday rotation and weekend requirements of every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide respiratory care to pediatric patients, including neonates and infants. The therapist will work collaboratively with the medical team to deliver high-quality patient care in a teaching hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy to pediatric patients.
• Perform assessments and evaluations to determine the need for respiratory intervention.
• Utilize specialized equipment and techniques for respiratory care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the Epic charting system.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric, neonate, and infant respiratory therapy experience.
• RRT certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• Active South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license or pending license process.
• Epic experience preferred.
