Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Pediatrics

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with a holiday rotation and weekend requirements every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) specializing in pediatrics to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess skills and experience in providing respiratory care for neonates, infants, and children in a teaching hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments to pediatric patients.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and assess patients' respiratory conditions and respond to emergencies.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions and treatment options.
• Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric, neonate, and infant experience.
• Current RRT certification, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
• Valid South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (SC RCP) license is required at the time of start.
• Epic experience preferred.
