Physical Therapist Assistant

Schedule

Monday - Friday with 1 weekend day per month

Job Description

This is a large team in a fast-paced hospital environment where clinicians treat a variety of diagnoses, primarily consisting of orthopedics, neurological, and critical care caseloads. Physical Therapist Assistants with at least one (1) year of hospital acute experience are encouraged to apply, though new graduates with strong acute clinical rotations will also be considered. Responsibilities

• Deliver quality physical therapy services according to treatment plans for patients.
• Document progress toward identified objectives.
• Provide accurate and timely documentation for the current patient caseload and oversee compliance of the department.
• Participate in a positive work environment to promote teamwork and communication.
• Conduct patient and family education.
• Display strong skills in flexibility, time management, and communication.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree from an accredited school approved by CAPTE.
• Current state licensure or eligibility in Physical Therapy in Maryland.
• At least one (1) year of hospital acute experience is preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
• Strong skills in flexibility, time management, leadership, and communication.
• Experience with documentation utilizing EMR.
