Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit. This unit specializes in mixed levels of care, including medical-surgical and step-down patients. The unit typically accommodates short stay patients targeting a 24-hour length of stay, with quick turnover rates.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for a maximum of 20 beds, adhering to patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6, depending on the level of care required.
• Monitor patients via telemetry equipment; ensure all patients are hardwired to bedside monitors as indicated.
• Collaborate with unit staff including 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 CNAs during day shifts and an equivalent team during nights.
• Float to other units as necessary to ensure adequate patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Telemetry competency is required.
• Prior experience in Progressive Care is essential; recent experience is preferred.
