This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

8:00 AM - 4:00 PM / 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday, 40 hours guaranteed.

Job Description

Under the general supervision of a physical therapist, the Physical Therapy Assistant assists patients in reaching their maximum physical potential. This position involves treating patients using appropriate therapeutic interventions in accordance with the Maryland Physical Therapy Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• Participate in team and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Demonstrate competency in treating multiple patient populations within the acute care setting, including at least one high-risk patient population.
• Follow treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and alert the supervising physical therapist to any changes in status.
• Provide excellent customer service and manage an average caseload per productivity standards.
• Utilize standardized tests proficiently to support documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1+ years of current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) experience - REQUIRED
• Active Maryland license as a Physical Therapist Assistant - REQUIRED
• Acute care experience - HIGHLY PREFERRED
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification - REQUIRED
• COVID vaccine - DECLINATIONS NOT ACCEPTED
