Physical Therapy Assistant

Schedule

This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, primarily during the day. Possible shifts include:

• 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
• 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM

The role also requires on-call availability for one weekend per month.

Job Description

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients. Your objective will be to support the rehabilitation process by implementing treatment plans and maintaining a continuous focus on improving patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of physical therapy treatment as directed by a supervising Physical Therapist.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment goals and exercises.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Document patient care and treatment in compliance with facility policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in the state of California.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Completion of a Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
