Registered Nurse - Telemetry

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

This position is for Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) with an every other weekend rotation, and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care to patients with acute and chronic medical-surgical and orthopedic conditions. The nurse will be responsible for administering treatments, medications, and IV medication drips as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering care as directed.
• Administer IV medications, including Heparin and TNA.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans and care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, specifically in telemetry or medical-surgical care.
• Current and valid RN license.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS and NIHSS certifications are preferred.
• Experience with EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring is required.
• Previous charge experience is advantageous.
