7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3 x 12 hour shifts, every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patients' needs. The nurse will identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments.
• Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and functional health framework.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage care of patients.
• Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of experience in acute adult oncology, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma, inpatient setting.
• Required certifications: BLS & Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card certified by ONS.
• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license is required.
