Day 4x10-Hour shifts (06:30 - 17:00), Monday to Friday. Call required for 10 days/month, including one weekend/month.

Job Description

The Cardiothoracic Operating Room Nurse will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures, providing care for adults and geriatric patients within the operating room. Experience in circulating and scrubbing for a variety of cardiothoracic procedures is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgeries including CABG, valve repairs, and robotic procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist the surgical team during procedures.
• Monitor patient conditions and provide immediate post-operative care.
• Utilize charting systems such as EPIC for accurate patient documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR).
• Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Scrub experience required; CNOR certification preferred.
• Ability to float to various units as needed based on patient census.
