Night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00 - 07:30) with weekend rotation and holiday rotation.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with complex medical needs. The role requires a strong background in telemetry monitoring and the management of dysrhythmias.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry for patients and assess their conditions.
• Manage and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications, including titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Provide care for peripheral and PICC lines.
• Conduct EKGs and respond to changes in patient status.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of nursing experience in a Progressive Care Unit or similar setting.
• Current RN license in North Carolina.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience with titration of drips and management of dysrhythmias is essential.
• Successful completion of a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance.
