Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide care for patients in a telemetry capable unit, focusing on observation, respiratory conditions, general medical surgical diagnoses, and palliative care. This role requires proficiency in EKG monitoring and the ability to manage a patient population that includes psychiatric observations and diabetes management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient vitals and manage telemetry systems for patient care.
• Provide nursing care to diverse patient populations including observation patients, surgical patients, and those in palliative care.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed, including IV management and blood product administration.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records is necessary.
• Candidate must pass an EKG exam during the onboarding process.
