Registered Nurse - Week Nights & Occasional Weekend Nights

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position. The Registered Nurse collaborates with the health care team using evidence-based practice while demonstrating accountability and respect for patients, families, and coworkers. This role involves providing safe and optimal patient outcomes and promoting continuity of care through effective communication with the interdisciplinary team and families as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Direct the work of support staff in the provision of care.
• Perform general nursing duties using critical thinking skills with minimal supervision.
• Work with age-specific populations according to the setting.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred.
• Current Registration and Licensure in the State of Iowa as an RN in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required, with certification within three months of hire date.
• Current ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong empathetic listening skills, tact, and kindness toward others.
• Effective verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and technical critical thinking skills related to sound nursing judgment.

Schedule

This position requires availability for week nights and occasional weekend nights.
