Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role includes providing direct patient care within the scope of practice and guiding patient/family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the care given to assigned patients and must communicate effective patient condition changes to the physician.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care and guide patient/family teaching.
• Direct and guide the activities of other nursing personnel.
• Maintain standards of care in the ICU.
• Communicate changes in patient condition, including hemodynamic monitoring and diagnostic studies to physicians.
• Respond swiftly and accurately to changes in patient condition and treatment response.
• Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality is maintained.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital or critical care setting
• CCRN Certification preferred
• COVID vaccination/boosters preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
