Schedule

12-hour shifts, rotating between days and nights. Nurses are expected to participate in every other weekend shifts and may float to appropriate units as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care for individuals with acute medical conditions. The ideal candidate will be proficient in telemetry and have experience managing complex cardiac patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and administer medication in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and intervene as necessary.
• Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience with a focus on telemetry or progressive care.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• NIHSS certification is required prior to the start of the assignment.
• Active New York RN license or proof of application is necessary at the time of submission.
• Epic experience within the last two years is required.
