12-hour night shifts (7p - 7a) with weekend requirements, typically every other weekend.

Job Description

The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join their float team. The ideal candidate should have experience in telemetry and be proficient in managing patients with complex cardiac and critical care needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome, cardiac conditions, and other critical diagnoses.
• Monitor patient vitals and administer medications including insulin and cardiac drips.
• Assist in procedures post-cardiac catheterization.
• Utilize telemetry for continuous patient monitoring.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a telemetry or similar setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• NIHSS certification required prior to start.
• Experience with Epic or similar electronic medical records within the last 2 years is required.
• Active New York State nursing license must be on file at the time of submission.
