Job Description

The Med/Surg Registered Nurse will provide compassionate and attentive care to patients and their families, ensuring inclusion in their plan of care. This role requires the ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment, all while maintaining a focus on patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and manage a patient load of up to 6 patients.
• Be proficient in starting IVs, performing basic wound care, and maintaining surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes.
• Utilize equipment such as IV pumps, telemetry, and continuous pulse oximetry machines effectively.
• Document patient information and care plans using Meditech documentation system.
• Participate in bedside shift report and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license
• BLS certification (ACLS certification preferred)
• Previous Med/Surg experience preferred
