Days 7A-7P, with weekend requirements and on-call shifts.

Job Description

The competent Nurse practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. Provides routine and complex care, focusing on long-range goals. A nurse in this role continues to develop skills necessary to manage clinical nursing contingencies while making appropriate assignments and delegating tasks to other care providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only).
• RN License in the state of New Mexico or compact state.
