Registered Nurse - Telemetry/Stroke Unit

Schedule

Night Shift: 19:00 – 07:30, 3 × 12 hour shifts per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients in a 30-bed Telemetry/Stroke Unit. Care responsibilities include managing patients with diagnoses such as chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, post-cardiac catheterization recovery, strokes, sepsis, and patients undergoing alcohol and substance withdrawal.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions in a telemetry setting.
• Administer medications and perform nursing procedures as required.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a telemetry or stroke unit.
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
• Must possess current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Stroke experience is required.

Weekend and Holiday Requirements

Every other weekend and one winter holiday commitment are required.
