Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Neuro Stepdown RN to provide exceptional care for patients with neurological conditions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong teamwork abilities, fulfilling Novant behavioral expectations in interactions with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a sub-specialized neurological patient population and medical intermediate patients.
• Administer IV therapy and manage various intravenous lines including central and peripheral lines.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring.
• Implement and titrate medications including IV insulin and cardiac drips.
• Oversee feeding tube care, continuous bladder irrigation, and pre/post hemodialysis management.
• Care for ventilated patients and manage airway interventions.
• Maintain isolation precautions and provide wound care as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Neuro Stepdown or similar setting.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience with EPIC charting is required.
• Must have the ability to titrate LEVO.
• Travelers must be willing to float to other intermediate areas as necessary.
