Job Description

As a Cardiovascular Surgery Technologist, you will work in the cardiovascular operating room, assisting surgeons by preparing the surgical field, passing instruments and supplies during surgery, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring the smooth flow of procedures. Key responsibilities include assisting and passing in surgical cases, helping turn over OR rooms, and facilitating effective surgical workflows.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical field and ensure all instruments and supplies are ready for use.
• Assist surgeons during cardiac and thoracic surgery procedures.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Contribute to the turnover of operating rooms to facilitate timely patient surgeries.
• Handle on-call responsibilities as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• CST Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Must possess strong cardiac surgery skills and thoracic da Vinci experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiovascular operating room setting is necessary.
