Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 Hour Shifts, Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Weekend requirement is every 3rd weekend, and holiday coverage for one of the following dates: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Labor & Delivery unit will provide exceptional care in a high-risk environment, managing maternal and neonatal health. This role will involve supporting a diverse patient population and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess maternal and fetal conditions during labor and delivery.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and other critical procedures.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding labor and delivery processes.
• Administer medications and manage IV drips as necessary.
• Utilize electronic medical records for patient documentation and care coordination.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Valid RN License and BSN required.
• Certifications: NRP, ACLS, BLS; AWHONN Intermediate or Beginner required.
