Pediatric Respiratory Therapist - RRT

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least two years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will work within NICU, PICU, and CVICU departments, providing high-level care to pediatric patients. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to float among various children's rehabilitation and NICU facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care and management for pediatric patients in intensive care settings.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to create and implement treatment plans.
• Manage ventilator support, airway management, and pulmonary therapies.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures.
• Participate in patient assessments and documentation in the charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of two years of experience in a pediatric high-level care setting (NICU/PICU/CVICU).
• Active Ohio RRT license is required.
• Current certifications in NBRC, BLS, Advanced NRP, and PALS must be in hand.
• Experience with charting systems required.
• Must be nicotine-free and pass a background check and drug screening.

Schedule

This position offers a 12-hour day shift schedule (07:00 - 19:30), with options for 3 or 4 shifts per week. The contract length is 13 weeks, with potential for extension.
