Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30), Weekend coverage every other weekend, but may vary based on the facility's needs.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in a Medical Surgical Unit specializing in adult and geriatric patients with various medical conditions, including respiratory diseases, infections, dementia, and neurological issues. Candidates must be adaptable to float to other units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical surgical setting, with a focus on adults and geriatrics.
• Administer medications and manage patient care using the Omnicell medication system.
• Create and maintain accurate patient documentation using EPIC.
• Assist in various procedures and interventions, demonstrating competency in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing skills.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active South Carolina RN license.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• A minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in a medical surgical or telemetry unit.
• Experience with patient ratio management, charting systems (EPIC), and core nursing competencies.
