Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Unit

Schedule

Day shifts available: 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:30), with weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to facility needs.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Unit. The RN will provide care to adult patients, primarily geriatrics, with various medical conditions, including respiratory diseases, infections, dementia, and neurological issues. Our unit fosters a collaborative environment with a dedicated Charge Nurse on every shift.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and provide comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor and record patient vitals and conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Float to other units, including MS/Tele as needed.
• Maintain detailed electronic health records using EPIC.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a similar unit.
• Current South Carolina RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Must possess MS/Tele competencies and pass an EKG exam.
• Experience with charting systems, specifically EPIC, is mandatory.
