Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN) - 36 Hour Days

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 06:45 to 19:15.

Job Description

This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in an orthopedic and spine unit with a medical overflow. The unit accommodates 30 beds and accepts first-time travelers, offering an exciting opportunity for experienced RNs to grow in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5-6.
• Provide care as needed, floating to like units within the scope based on facility needs.
• Administer medications and perform nursing procedures relevant to orthopedic and spine care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with charge experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required; NIHSS certification is a plus.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Must possess a valid RN license in OK or a Compact RN license at the time of submission.
