This position offers a M-F schedule with two potential shifts: 7 AM to 4 PM or 10 AM to 7 PM, both including a 1-hour lunch break.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients. The therapist will ensure the design of functional treatment programs that allow for effective return to community activities and serve as an educator to patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves. Other professional duties related to patient care, development of discipline-specific therapy services, and program delivery design may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner.
• Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approval.
• Participate in the student program, providing a positive learning environment.
• Create and actively manage an individualized professional development plan.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Acts and maintain professional licensure.
• Understand and apply the organization’s performance improvement methodology.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 2 years of outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR certification.
• Active licensure for the State where work will be performed.
