Med/Surg RN - Inpatient Observation Unit

Day shift, 12-hour shifts, with a 3-day workweek schedule.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced Inpatient Observation Unit. This position involves working with patients of varying acuity levels, including trauma overflow and mid holds. The ideal candidate must adapt quickly to changing patient needs and may float to other areas of competency as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the observation unit.
• Monitor and assess changes in patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Support patients and families through education and compassionate communication.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care Med/Surg setting.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• TNCC certification preferred.
