Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department (ED) is responsible for providing nursing care to patients with critical conditions. The RN will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure high-quality and efficient patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient conditions in the emergency department.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Document all care and patient interactions in the electronic health record (Cerner).
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient care rounds.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting.
• Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before starting date.
• Experience in Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center preferred.
