Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse who is comfortable working in fast-paced, high acuity environments. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to expectant mothers and newborns, ensuring adherence to AWHONN guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with high-risk deliveries and provide immediate care to newborns.
• Function in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery and care for newborns until transfer to postpartum.
• Monitor patients for complications and administer medications as required.
• Perform newborn assessments, including administering vaccinations and conducting eye care.
• Utilize electronic fetal monitoring and maintain clear documentation in the Epic system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery, including high-risk care.
• Valid Compact RN License.
• BLS and NRP certifications are required; ACLS and AWHONN certifications preferred.
• Experience with EPIC electronic charting system is mandatory.
