Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in high-risk environments. This role requires the nurse to function in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting, providing excellent care for midwifery clients and supporting various obstetric services. The nurse will be responsible for both circulating during cesarean sections and providing newborn care immediately post-delivery.

Responsibilities

• Circulate for various delivery methods including cesarean sections.
• Provide immediate newborn care, including newborn assessments and necessary interventions.
• Monitor high-risk labor and delivery patients, ensuring adherence to AWHONN guidelines.
• Engage in couplet care for postpartum patients.
• Float to postpartum and antepartum units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• High-risk experience is mandatory.
• Active Compact License in hand at submission.
• Required Certifications: BLS, NRP. Preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate.
