Cytotechnologist Position

Monday to Friday, 07:30 AM - 03:30 PM or 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

Job Description

The Cytotechnologist will be responsible for examining and interpreting cytology specimens, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and maintaining laboratory protocols. This role involves working with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information.

Responsibilities

• Conduct examinations and evaluations of cytology specimens.
• Ensure adherence to established laboratory policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with pathologists for accurate diagnosis.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement and training initiatives.

Required Experience & Certifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience; 5 years preferred.
• ASCP Board Certification as a Cytotechnologist/Cytologist.
• NYS Cytotechnologist/Cytologist license.
• Current proof of passing PAP PT testing or scheduled PT testing for this calendar year.
• Completion of required health screenings and immunizations.
