Schedule

Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30). Must work every other weekend and be flexible with scheduling. Must also work 2 holidays (eve/day) and have off one of three major holidays.

Job Description

We are seeking a proficient Registered Nurse specializing in Neurology and Telemetry to provide high-quality patient care in a Level 1 Trauma facility. The ideal candidate will be skilled in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and will undergo a competency test as part of the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients with neurological conditions and telemetry needs.
• Administer medications and perform necessary procedures, including IV starts.
• Provide care for tracheostomies and assist in pre/post neurosurgery interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a valid RN license and be proficient in telemetry and neurology nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience; strong neuro experience preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification and BLS certification required.
• Experience with dysrhythmia management is essential.
• Tele experience is required; first-time travelers accepted with strong neuro experience.
