Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift - 3x12.0

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, embracing the values of superior quality care, respect, teamwork, and resourcefulness.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission and develop individualized care plans.
• Identify patient teaching needs and set goals related to their diagnosis.
• Provide timely patient status updates for team conferences and maintain accurate documentation.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, prioritizing patient education and quality outcomes.
• Initiate discharge planning and teaching on the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel while effectively managing time and priorities.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning through effective communication and teamwork.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested and actively pursue professional development.
• Monitor supplies and care in a cost-effective manner while promoting quality outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS required prior to first shift (specific to CIRH only).
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience.

This position is a 3x12.0 day shift.
