Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours. No call required.

Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit specializing in telemetry and step-down ICU care. This role is essential in providing primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring, and other critical nursing functions within a 15-bed unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
• Monitor telemetry and read telemetry strips.
• Conduct fingerstick blood sugar tests.
• Utilize Meditech for charting and Pyxis for medication management.
• Participate in continuous cardiac monitoring and BIPAP administration.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year.
• Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred; current PALS and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• State of HI nursing license required before assignment start date.
