Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30). Rotation includes weekends every other week.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in a high-risk labor and delivery unit. The nurse will be responsible for assessments, triage, and managing patients during labor, birth, and postpartum recovery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and triage for obstetric patients.
• Provide care during labor and delivery, including high-risk scenarios.
• Assist with cesarean sections and various deliveries.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Educate patients and their families on postpartum care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska (license must be in hand for auto offer).
• 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP.
• Charge experience preferred or willingness to train as charge.
