L&D RN Position - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 or 4x12 Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

The L&D RN will provide exceptional nursing care in a high-risk labor and delivery unit. The nurse will work with a team of professionals to effectively manage patient care, administer medications, and support laboring mothers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients during labor and delivery.
• Administer medications, including but not limited to intravenous therapy and blood products.
• Provide nursing care for high-risk antepartum patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Assist in cesarean section and vaginal delivery procedures.
• Provide discharge teaching to parents and lactation support.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have an active Alaska RN license in hand for an auto offer.
• BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced certifications required.
• At least one year of Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Charge experience is preferred or willingness to train in charge duties.
