Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-risk labor and delivery, patient assessment, and emergency response procedures. The candidate should be comfortable with the workload of a busy labor and delivery unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to high-risk laboring patients
• Assist with childbirth education and patient teaching
• Monitor fetal heart rates and assess maternal well-being
• Administer medications, including anesthetics and analgesics
• Perform emergency interventions as necessary
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in Alaska (license must be in hand for auto offer)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced certifications
• Charge experience preferred or willingness to train
