Registered Nurse - IMCU

Assignment Duration

This is a contract position with guaranteed hours of 48 per week over a duration of approximately 13 weeks.

Schedule

Day shift, 12 hours, 4 days on, with an ASAP start date.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide critical care in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1 to 4. The unit consists of 10 to 16 beds, accommodating patients with varying critical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patients with sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, TDM2, substance abuse, and encephalopathy.
• Administer Heparin drips and other medications as needed.
• Conduct regular assessments and updates on patient conditions.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
