Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

This position offers a night shift schedule of 12 hours on a 3-day rotation.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of documented experience in a similar facility with a focus on cardiac care. You will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population with cardiac conditions, including STEMI, NSTEMI, and chest pain.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients in the Progressive Care Unit with a 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Administer cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and pressors.
• Provide care to patients assigned to telemetry beds, handling lower acuity levels as needed.
• Perform thorough evaluations and document all relevant patient information.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit or similar environment.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
