LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse

Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and leadership in patient care planning.
• Maintain clinical competencies and participate in continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities effectively among team members.
• Supervise and direct assigned personnel in the delivery of patient care.

Schedule

This position operates on the night shift from 19:00 to 07:00.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two to five years of recent Tele/LTAC experience in a hospital setting.
• Must have ACLS & BLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Vent/trach experience is required.
• Indiana or multi-state compact RN license is required.
