LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse

Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is accountable for providing high-quality patient care by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This role requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership skills in planning for the safe delivery of care. The Registered Nurse will also maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and delegate patient care priorities according to the staff's education and experience level.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on the Nursing Process.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and leadership in patient management.
• Maintain clinical competencies and participate in continuing education.
• Delegate and supervise patient care tasks assigned to personnel.
• Anticipate and plan for safe delivery of care.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a shift from 07:00 to 19:00.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold ACLS and BLS certifications (must be through the American Heart Association).
• Experience with ventilators and tracheostomy patients.
• Minimum of 2 years recent Tele/LTAC experience in a hospital setting.
• Valid Indiana or multi-state compact RN license (must be attached to resume).

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
