Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Night shift: 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring that nursing care plans are followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants while embracing the organization’s values, which prioritize patient and employee safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to set teaching needs and goals.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel.
• Promote a safe environment by adhering to policies and procedures.
• Engage in team-building activities to foster a positive workplace.
• Assume charge responsibilities as needed after the orientation period.
• Pursue professional development through continuing education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (specific facility).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is required.
