Pediatric Oncology Nurse

Schedule

7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, with weekends and holidays as required. This is a contracted position with guaranteed hours.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Pediatric Oncology Nurse to provide exceptional care for pediatric oncology patients. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in pediatric oncology, along with an active APHON certification. This position may require floating to various departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric oncology patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as per prescribed medical guidelines.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and communicating with the healthcare team.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families during treatment.
• Participate in patient education and support initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months of recent pediatric oncology experience (within the last 12 months).
• Active APHON certification from an approved vendor.
• Life support certifications must be from AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
• No hits on state license to practice; must have an active nursing license verified within the last 30 days.
• A valid driver's license to verify residency is required.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.
