Pediatric Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Schedule

This is a night shift position from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, with 36 hours scheduled and a guaranteed 24 hours. Flexibility in scheduling is required, including weekends and holidays as per departmental guidelines.

Job Description

The Pediatric Emergency Room Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to pediatric patients in an emergency setting. This role necessitates a strong background in pediatrics, excellent critical thinking skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Nurses are expected to follow departmental protocols, maintain professional standards, and ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to pediatric patients in the ER.
• Assess and triage patients based on acuity and urgency of care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient management.
• Document patient care and interventions accurately and timely.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months of Pediatric Emergency Room experience, with recent experience within the last 12 months is required.
• Active Arizona RN license with no disciplinary actions.
• Current certifications: TNCC, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ENPC preferred, obtained from accredited organizations.
• Driver's license to verify residency is required.
• Travel experience in nursing is highly preferred.
