Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

This is a long-term contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, operating on a flexible schedule with no guaranteed block scheduling.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care for patients in an Emergency Department setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to patients of all ages including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
• Triaging and managing acute patient conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
• Utilize specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of effective patient care.
• Participate in the charge nursing role as needed.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including floating to different areas as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and active New York State RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department nursing, including pediatric experience.
• Travel experience required.
• Current AHA certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
• Skills checklist that matches nursing specialty.
• Valid driver's license with an address that matches demographic information.
• EMR experience with EPIC.
