Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights - 12-hour shifts: 3 PM - 3 AM or 7 PM - 7 AM rotation, requiring 36 hours of work per week, including one weekend shift every contracted week or two weekend shifts every other weekend. Must work at least one holiday per contract.

Job Description

Join a collaborative and supportive team in a large, high-acuity Emergency Department equipped with 80 treatment spaces. This modern environment focuses on high-quality patient care, including specialized geriatric emergency care as the area's first ACEP accredited geriatric ED.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency setting, ensuring high standards of practice and adherence to protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Active NY RN license.
• Current NIH and AHA BLS certifications.
• 2 years of U.S. work history required for non-U.S. candidates.

On-Call Requirement

On-call shifts are not required but highly recommended. Nurses may average 2 hours of call per contracted week, with on-call shifts occurring between 7 PM and 7 AM, and can be picked up in blocks of 4, 8, 12, or 16 hours.
