Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include assessing patients, managing complex trauma cases, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients in emergency situations, including trauma and medical emergencies.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and laboratory results.
• Provide instruction and support to patients and families regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.
• Report and document patient progress and responses to treatment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department or Level III Trauma Center.
• Current New York State RN license in hand.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
• Travel experience is preferred but not required.
